Topical miconazole is used to treat tinea corporis(ringworm; fungal skin infection that causes a red scaly rash on different parts of the body), tinea cruris (jock itch; fungal infection of the skin in the groin or buttocks), and tinea pedis (athlete's foot; fungal infection of the skin on the feet and between the toes. Yes, Miconazole Nitrate 2% Solution is a potent antifungal. It treats athlete's foot and ringworm. For athlete's foot and ringworm, apply Miconazole Nitrate 2% Solution to the affected area twice a day for 4 weeks; pay special attention to spaces between the toes. Spread the antifungal cream on to the rash and the area around it. Use the clotrimazole cream 2 to 3 times a day for at least 4 weeks to stop the rash coming back. Use the miconazole cream 2 times a day (morning and night) for at least 10 days after the rash has gone. Adults and children Apply to the affected area(s) of the skin two times a day, morning and evening. After washing and drying your feet, apply an antifungal product.
